ok, so there was no fabulous new outfit, and the night wasn't so tawdry, and the dives just aren't as cheap as they used to be.
still fun.
possibly I'm so tired because after I got home I stayed up to watch "Arizona Dream," which I rented on a whim, very late last night, after countless beers... I hadn't seen it for a very long time and wasn't sure I'd like it as much as I used to, but I do, I do. Emir Kusturica is an amazing director. Lili Taylor makes the whole movie, but all the acting is pretty spectacular- Jerry Lewis, Faye Dunaway, Vincent Gallo, Johnny Depp... these are not usually actors I'd get all excited about, but there's a pretty great chemistry in this weird little movie.
