I knew I shouldn't let myself read Languagehat.com on a regular basis. I just don't have enough free time to be able to read all the things it points me to.
Nor do I have the time to devote myself to languages the way I'd like to. It might be time to put a PayPal link on my blog:

These quizzes from Transparent Language are great. I'm relieved that I can still bluster my way quite well through German test, but the Russian quiz kicked my ass, and we won't even speak of the French test. (well, I didn't study French for very long, so I can't quite beat myself up for that one.)
