a few tiny notes

-Recently I spoke of laziness. It's true; I am lazy. I cannot deny it. But lately I've actually been frightfully busy. Way too busy.

-My mother recently bought her first computer, and, because she has good taste, she bought an ibook. I can only say this: I fervently hope, and I realize how shockingly self-absorbed this is, that she won't be horribly shocked or offended by anything she may find in this incredibly albernes blog. Read with a closed ear, Ma. or however that saying goes.

-Summer now. It's hot. I-can't-sleep hot. Sticking-to-everything hot. No one here in California has screens in their windows. We're being eaten alive by mosquitoes. We don't have fans. (Air conditioning? You jest.) We go to the store, and the ice cube trays and fans are sold out, because everyone else is hot, too. Next week we will have forgotten about these items, because it will have cooled down, and the weather will be foggy again, until September 2005.

-Californians are spoiled rotten. and I am now officially one of them.
