shacking up!

Have I mentioned that I'll be shacking up with my sweetie soon? I'm moving to Berkeley on the 23rd! and I haven't started packing yet! and that's why I can't tell you more about it right now. Because I have to start packing. As soon as I watch this episode of The Muppets that I borrowed. Not that I'm procrastinating.

Seriously, I'm leaving the city- The City! San Frangogo, the place I've called home for almost twelve and a half years. I'm only moving across the Bay, so I'm not too traumatized, but Berkeley is so... quiet! (and full of hippies!) I'm quite sure I'll adjust. I know a couple people. I'm close to public transportation. I'm happy with the neighborhood- it's full of friendly feral cats and flowers and nice neighbors. The quiet will be good. I'm going to cook more. I'm going to read more. I'm going to sleep more. I'm going to, uh, take BART more, which might be where I do the sleeping and reading.

But I'll be with my sweet, and odds are good, and we sure do like each other a lot, and romance is not dead, and I wish you as many blessings as I'm feeling right now.

And now I have to start packing books.
What are you doing? Nothing? Oh, I have a kitchen you could pack up!
